Collection: Luca Frechi
(1982, Bologna, Italy). He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, with a degree in painting. During these years, he has conducted research based on the otherness of the human figure and on personal and collective memory through the use of plaster techniques.
He has participated in various group and solo exhibitions in Italy and throughout Europe. In recent years, we highlight the following: the 51st Campigna Prize at the Vero Stoppioni Contemporary Art Gallery in Santa Sofia; Open 12, the International Sculpture and Installation Exhibition on the island of San Servolo in Venice in 2009; and in 2011, he won the first OPERA/Fabbrica Prize at the Cloister of the Oriani Library in Ravenna.
In 2015 he was selected as a finalist in the 59th International Ceramics Award in Faenza and in 2017 he was invited to Korea, to the Gyeonggi International Ceramics Biennial and is an “honorable mention” at the 39th International Ceramic Art Exhibition and Competition in the City of Gualdo Tadino , Perugia, Italy 2017.
Some of his works have won national awards and have been acquired in Italian and Spanish public collections.
