"All of Luca's work seems to take place and develop within this incessant dialectic of body and time. Looking closely at his work, even within different cycles of works, this seems absolutely clear: the theme is always, obsessively, the body-time relationship through the signs that this relationship necessarily leaves behind. In the series of "casts" of entire bodies or individual anatomical parts, their surfaces cracked as if by an irremediable drought, the fundamental theme sometimes acquires a monumental evidence of its own, and this further amplifies the same profound impression of being confronted with transfigured memories of what was once alive and real, but is now nothing more than a testimony, a trace, a faithful impression—in short, a "footprint," a sign of the times."
