UNFAVORABLE Orrite 07.12.23 - 31.01.24

Unfading , Orrite 's first exhibition (Madrid, 1981) At the Lucía Dueñas Gallery, he seeks to invite the viewer into his inner world. He enjoys working on themes that evoke melancholy, loneliness, and silence. For Orrite, one of the most important things is capturing the light in a scene. His realistic and figurative style is conveyed through oil paintings on canvas.

"Like a dreamcatcher, I capture moments that don't belong to me. Moments with soul. A soul that captures my attention. A soul that fades before my eyes before withering away.
In the desire to make the transient last, I want to delve into the intangible. And tethered to the surface, I aspire to touch the deepest, to convey the hidden, that which makes me wish that the apparent beauty of a moment does not succumb to the oceans of time.
It is then that lights, shadows, textures, essence and time act as verses in the poetry of the moment."

Inmarcesible also features two of his latest series: Arte and Selfie .
