URBANIZATION Series 150 x 150 cm., mixed on canvas.
Denial in the face of massive construction.
That's the idea powerfully captured in this work. The large X stands as a resounding, almost vindictive gesture. While the image of multiple superimposed buildings may be aesthetically appealing, it doesn't always represent a habitable or conducive environment. Denial City is a bold undertaking, where the final stroke—that large X—generates tension, respect, even fear. An act laden with meaning, an integral part of the creative process.
The color orange emerges as a symbol of salvation, a starting point, an intersection that alters the urban landscape. A vibrant spark that breaks the monotony and brings energy to the vertical blocks of this horizonless megacity, where growth seems endless, but where there is still room for criticism and reflection.
